Work produced between 2013 and 2016 centers on painting as a field where memory, travel, and perception are compressed into layered compositions. These pieces merge landscape, architecture, and fragmented figures into continuous systems without fixed perspective. Influences from places such as Florence and the Sahara appear not as literal depictions but as spatial translations. The use of gold and silver leaf, along with thin oil layers, introduces surfaces that shift between opacity and reflection, evoking glass or metal. This period establishes an early vocabulary of flow, hybridity, and constructed environments that later evolves into more complex spatial and material investigations.
