NEXUS 33 by Esteban Huacuja examines recurring questions about the nature of reality, moving from philosophy, art, and science into contemporary conditions shaped by digital environments and expanded perception.

The exhibition focuses on the relationship between body and identity. Beyond physical interventions such as surgery or modification, these transformations operate at the level of perception and psyche, redefining how the human is understood.

Huacuja’s work brings together references from science, philosophy, and mass culture into a dense visual language. The exhibition presents hybrid bodies composed of biological and technological elements, existing between human and machine. These figures reflect a condition where reality extends across natural, artificial, and mediated domains.

The show includes an animatronic piece, an android that observes viewers through electronic mechanisms, introducing a direct interaction between human presence and machine response.

Together, these elements construct a landscape where the limits of the body and reality remain unstable and in constant reconfiguration.
