Commissioned in collaboration with Hotel 1800 for the ORIGEN festival in Cuatro Ciénegas. The work is a totemic sculpture permanently installed in the desert, within a protected natural reserve.

Developed specifically for the site, the piece engages the open landscape and extreme environmental conditions, integrating color, form, and light as structural elements. During the day, it sits within the horizon; at night, its lighting system activates a different reading, extending its presence into the surrounding space.

The installation functions as a vertical axis that brings together multiple formal registers into a continuous structure, generating a perceptual experience that shifts with distance, light, and the viewer’s movement.

We all want to know
what the hell we’re doing here.
